Delete your account
This page covers the account and the data that goes with it. It is the same deletion the app performs in Settings → Account → Delete account, written out for people who have already uninstalled the app.
1. In the app
- Open Chatmoe and sign in with the email address you used before.
- Open the drawer and choose Settings.
- Open Account, then choose Delete account.
- Confirm. The account and the data listed in section 3 are removed at that moment.
If you only want to clear a conversation or everything stored on this device, use Settings → Data instead; that does not close your account.
2. Without the app
Write to privacy@chatmoe.cn and ask us to delete your account. Please write from the address associated with the account — that is how we know the request comes from you, and it is the only address we hold. If you no longer have access to it, tell us so, and tell us what you do remember (when you signed in last, roughly what you talked about); we will work out another way to confirm it is you.
We answer within one month, as described in the Privacy Notice. Deletion is free and we will not ask you to reinstall the app to get it.
3. What is deleted
- Your account record: email address, sign-in sessions and signed-in devices.
- Your conversations, and the messages in them.
- Files you uploaded and files generated for you, together with the copies held by the model provider for those files.
- Sites you deployed, and the usage and quota records tied to the account.
- Your character cards and discussion posts: the cards are removed; replies you left on other people's topics are removed too, and the counters on those topics are adjusted.
A few things outlive the account, for the reasons given in the Privacy Notice:
- Order and payment records — kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Security and access logs — IP addresses and request logs for up to 30 days, after which they expire on their own.
- Aggregated statistics — figures that no longer identify anyone.
4. If you never signed in
Guest conversations are stored in the browser or the app on your device, keyed to an anonymous identifier. Clearing the conversation, or clearing the app's storage, removes them; deleting conversations in the app does the same. There is no account for us to delete, and nothing that points back to you — which also means we cannot find that data for you if the device is gone.
5. Questions
Write to privacy@chatmoe.cn. For anything else, general support is support@chatmoe.cn, and reports or complaints about content go to report@chatmoe.cn.
